hi! i'm ayush nayak, and since 2004 i've been doing random
stuff. currently I'm doing math and astrophysics research at
mit, working on a
few projects, and going to new york city too much.
last summer i worked at
xai
and in a past life i was a
yc s24
founder, working on observability, and model behavior.
i live life to collect stories: turning a hackathon into a rave,
dumpster diving scientific equipment to build a lab, living out
of a lifeguard tower for two nights, and (allegedly) stealing
over 20 signs.
i love working on random stuff in the past i
designed and built
bleeding-edge 3-valued
transistors, discovered transit-timing-variable exoplanets, launched ocean
buoys, weather balloons and a chip-sat to the moon.
things you should talk to me about:
surfing, cosmology, cinematography, drones (especially big
ones), rl,
film photography, astronomy, skateboarding, design, vintage cars, electric
guitars,
3d art, and prediction markets.
